Second Night of Chanukah
Chabad in Medford is delighted to once again host the Chanukah Village Walk — and if you’ve been before, you already know how magical this night is. Thanks to the unwavering dedication of Rabbi Yitzchok Kahan and his incredible team, Main Street comes alive with warmth, light, and joy, reminding us what the holiday season is truly about: embracing your family, your faith, and your community all in one beautiful evening.

This family-friendly event transforms Main Street into an interactive holiday experience, with festive activities, local vendors offering crafts and treats, and so many fun surprises along the way. You’ll find everything from a trackless train 🚂 and fire truck 🚒 to mascots, traditional Chanukah goodies, a Kosher Pizza Truck, and more. And of course, one of the most moving parts of the evening is the Grand Community Menorah Lighting — a moment that always brings everyone together to celebrate the Festival of Lights. 🕎
“Chanukah symbolizes light and hope amidst life’s challenges,” said Rabbi Yitzchok Kahan, director of Chabad in Medford. “This year, especially with all the challenges and turmoil around the world, the flames of the Menorah remind us that even a small light can overcome great darkness. Every act of kindness and goodness brings more light to our world. That’s the inspiration behind the Chanukah Village Walk, a chance to unite in hope and celebration.”
And that’s exactly why our community shows up year after year — because nights like this remind us how powerful it is when people gather with open hearts, shared traditions, and the intention to spread light & hope.
