What’s on Tap (Literally & Figuratively)
This isn’t your average fall fair. Think multiple music stages pulsing with energy, all four local breweries and international brews flowing, German food that hits the spot (pretzels, bratwurst, schnitzel, yes all the above), and contests that dare you to win.
Here’s what’s in store:
- Three stages of live music — local bands, regional acts, maybe even someone you’ve streamed but haven’t seen live yet.
- Beer tent with a wide pour list. Local favorites + international beers = decisions, decisions.
- German food + food trucks — divine carbs incoming.
- Competitions & craziness like the Bavarian Steinholding (who can hold a heavy stein outstretched the longest?), cornhole tournaments, bratwurst eating, trivia, dance demos… your chance to shine, or at least have a show-worthy moment.
- Family-friendly vibes too. Kid’s activities, crafters & vendors, business expo — so it’s not just about the beers and the beats.

Why You Need To Be There
- It’s free. No cover charge. Who says no to that?
- It’s weekend-long. Two days of fun, so no pressure to cram everything in one night. Friday & Saturday!
- So many photo ops. Think: lit up tents, twinkling lights as dusk falls, people in full German garb, steins raised, festival food glowing in twilight.
- Community energy. Local vendors, bands you can brag about discovering first, and neighbors turning up.

Pro Tips to Maximize Your Oktoberfest
- Get there early — food lines, beer pours, and prime seats near the stage fill up fast.
- Dress for it — fall evenings in NJ can cool off. Layers + a comfy jacket = smart move. Footwear: festival-friendly. Just kidding, you all better be wearing your lederhosen & dirndl, this is Oktoberfest after all!
- Plan your food strategy — wander through the food trucks early, scope it out, then go for what you really want.
- Pace the beer — there are lots to try. Don’t rush. Maybe alternate with water or something light so you’re still good for Saturday evening. With two beer areas - one for local breweries & one for the international beers, there's lots to choose from!
- Bring a camera (or your phone with good battery) — this is content gold! You prob wanna skip the bratwurst eating selfies lol!
- Meet up with friends — the more, the merrier. Bonus: coordinating your crew’s outfits .....what kind of friend group doesn't have matching leather lederhosen? IDK of any.
