Town Wide Yard Sale & Green Fair Coming to Freedom Park in Medford

If you missed your neighborhood's yard sale weekend - or just want to go hit some good yard sales in one place, want to learn more about sustainability in Medford, or just need an excuse to wander Freedom Park - Saturday, June 6 might deserve a spot on your calendar.

The Medford Environmental Affairs Advisory Committee/Green Team (EAAC) is teaming up with the Woman’s Club of Medford for a morning that blends community, sustainability, and treasure hunting. The Green Fair and Community-Wide Yard Sale will take place Saturday, June 6, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Freedom Park.

The community-wide yard sale, organized by the Woman’s Club of Medford, invites residents to set up and sell their unwanted treasures. Vendor sign-ups begin at 7:30 a.m. with a $10 donation benefiting the club’s community programs, and you can show up to sign up! Participants should bring their own tables and chairs. Bonus: Goodwill will be onsite at the end of the day to take donations of anything you’d rather not bring back home.....which is clutch when it's the end of the day and you don't feel like loading and unloading whatever stuff that didn't sell!

Meanwhile, the Green Fair, happening at the same time will feature demonstrations, local organizations, and information about some of Medford’s ongoing environmental efforts including the TREX plastic film recycling program, Adopt-A-Drain, and the Community Composting Program. It’s also a great chance to learn about volunteer opportunities happening around town & get involved!

And because no community event is complete without snacks and caffeine, visitors can grab treats from Jenni’s Goodies and Cawfee while checking out tables from groups and vendors including Love Thy Nature Refillery, Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge, and more.

Longtime Medford residents may remember the EAAC’s environmental information day traditionally happening in April. After a few years of unpredictable spring weather, organizers decided to move the event to June in hopes of sunnier skies! We think this is a great idea, April weekends tend to be cold!

The event is rain or shine, and organizers are hoping for a fun day full of community spirit, sustainability, and maybe even a few great yard sale finds.
