Art Goes to Town is Back (and It’s Taking Over the Village at Taunton Forge Again!)
This Saturday, April 25, the Village at Taunton Forge turns into a full-on open-air gallery for Art Goes to Town, a juried fine arts and craft fair that brings together some of the most talented artists in the region. What does juried mean? It means no multi level marketing, no kit crafts - this is your high quality, artisan made creations market!

The Heart Behind It All
If you’ve been around Medford for more than five minutes, you probably already know the name Lesha Moore. She is a power house, if something amazing is happening in Medford you can be sure that Lesha's energy is behind it. She is someone I consider a friend, and someone I can rely on, and whether you know her or not - she's someone that YOU can rely on too, to put on an incredible event!
As a photographer and lifelong creative, Lesha built Art Goes to Town out of a genuine love for the arts and a desire to give artists a space to be seen, supported, and celebrated. And if you’ve ever talked to her, you know it’s not just about the art. It’s about connection.

She said it best herself: "art is the one thread that connects all of us, no matter where we come from."
And that really is the vibe of this event.
Also worth noting, Lesha and her husband Eric are some of those behind-the-scenes “magic elves” in Medford. The kind of people who show up, volunteer, and quietly help make things happen. So when they put their energy into something like this, you know it’s going to be good. I'd love to see Medford show up this weekend & support them in the same way they quietly support you. Dickens Festival, Oktoberfest, the events of Main Street Merchants or Medford Business Association - she's behind all of them! When you're having fun in Medford, nine times out of 10 there is Lesha's blood, sweat and tears behind that fun!

Make a Day of It (Because You Should)
If you’re going, don’t just “go.” Plan to stay awhile.
Start with lunch (or a late lunch, or honestly both):
- Illiano Cucina for a cozy sit-down, pasta, wine, and a break from wandering. Illiano's is also offering a lunch special for fair attendee's & vendors! Where else can you get a full lunch for $15?!

- Dory's Mediterranean for something lighter, fresh, and perfect if you think you’re just grabbing something quick
If you go, give yourself time. Grab food, walk slow, talk to the artists.
And don’t be surprised if you leave with something you didn’t plan on buying… but absolutely love.
