Find out what goes bump in the night on Medford's Historic Main Street. When he lively chatter of shops and restaurants quiets, and the spirits of Medford’s past begin to stir. Though many of the storefronts you see today are only a few years old, the bones of these buildings date back to the 1800s—some even earlier—when Medford first grew from farmland and sawmills into a bustling village.

Founded in 1847, Medford’s Main Street has long been the heart of the town. Its brick walls, timber beams, and creaking floors have borne witness to over a century of lives lived—merchants and shopkeepers, farmers and families, neighbors and strangers. Some of these voices faded with time… while others may still linger & whisper in our ears in the quiet moment.

On November 6 & 7th, you’re invited to step into the shadows during Medford’s 8th Annual Ghost Walk. This is no ordinary stroll, it’s a rare chance to enter historic buildings after dark, where the line between past and present blurs. Inside each haunted location, a psychic medium and ghost-hunting equipment from Medford's own NJBalance will assist in your communication with the other side. The Mediums will reveal the energies and spirits that remain. These mediums spend time in the buildings beforehand, becoming acquainted with the personalities who linger, so when you enter—you’ll get to communicate with them too.

Begin Your Journey at The Well

Your Ghost Walk experience begins at The Well, where Susan Drummond will lead guests through a grounding exercise before they venture onto Main Street. While you wait for your tour, The Well’s talented practitioners will also offer card and intuitive readings for an additional fee, giving you another opportunity to connect, reflect, and perhaps receive a message meant just for you.

Who is NJBalance?

Susan Drummond is the owner of NJBalance and has been a Medford business owner for more than 25 years. (She recently sold The Center, Life in Balance, which was a Main Street staple for years.) A trained massage therapist, Reiki Master, educator, and intuitive psychic medium, Susan has spent decades helping others through wellness, energy work, and spiritual guidance. To know her, is to love her and her incredible gifts. Her extensive training and deeply personal experiences with grief and healing shape the compassionate, grounded approach she brings to the Ghost Walk.

⚠️ Note: Due to the nature of the historic building, this tour includes stairs and is unfortunately not handicap accessible. This tour is also recommended for adults, but 12+ are welcome at parents discretion. Under 18 must have an adult with them.⚠️

👥 Become a Tour Guide!
We’re also seeking volunteer tour guides. These should be adults, or responsible interested teens! (NHS Hours available!) Guides lead groups from stop to stop, share a touch of Main Street’s spooky history, and get to experience the haunted walk multiple times—for free!
